Choosing a class

Mastery or Exam Focus?

Marks usually go for one of two reasons: the science hasn't properly clicked, or it has but the answers don't hit the mark scheme. Each class fixes one of those.

Science Mastery

Builds the understanding

For students who are unsure of the content, have gaps from earlier years, or are aiming for the top grades.

Exam Focus

Turns knowledge into marks

For students who know the content but lose marks on command words, longer answers and timing.

Pay by the half term

Join any week and pay only for the sessions left in that half term. After that, you pay at the start of each half term. There are no lessons in school holidays. Dates follow Derby City Council's school calendar.

Mastery is £40 a session, Exam Focus £20 and the Year 7–8 Foundation Pathway £30. Two Mastery classes a week are £60 together. Every Mastery student can also join one Exam Focus class a week free.
